Seats for schools, districts
and youth programs

Career exploration for 11–18, licensed by the seat. The consent model is designed so that no student account can exist before a parent has consented, and so that parents keep control of their child’s record for as long as it exists. That flow is specified and not yet in service: Compass enrollment is paused until it is.

Enrollment is paused. We are completing the parental consent flow before any new student account is created. Conversations about seats are welcome now; nothing is sold until the flow is in service.

Seat pricing

Priced by the term and the number of places, not per seat per year — a cohort runs eight weeks, a school year runs forty, and places are reassigned between them. Every block is quoted rather than bought on a card, because the consent process needs a conversation before anyone signs in.

Why Compass seats cost the same as our adult seats. A Compass seat is specified to carry parental consent capture for every student, guardian notification on every seat change, a published retention schedule, and a deletion path that runs through a signed request and human review. That handling is most of what an institution is buying, and it does not get cheaper because the learner is younger.

Who controls what

Buying seats does not make us your data processor for someone else’s family. The line matters, so we state it plainly.

  • Assign and reclaim as your roster changes
  • Reassign a seat next term
  • Correct an address that was typed wrong
  • Reassign a place to a different participant
  • Export your seat register — who holds a place, how many remain

All self-serve. None of it requires an email to us.

Parents keep their rights

  • Review everything held about their child
  • Pause data collection at any time
  • Delete the account permanently
  • Notified whenever a seat changes

These do not transfer to an institution that bought a seat.

Reclaiming a seat is not deleting a record. When a participant leaves, the license returns to your pool and their work stays intact. If they enroll somewhere else that uses Compass, it is still there. This is what you want at the end of a term, and it is immediate.

Deletion goes through us, in writing. Permanent destruction of a minor’s record is not a button in a console on the last afternoon of term. It takes a signed request from someone authorized to make it, and we acknowledge within five business days. The form and the process.

How a school starts

  1. A conversationSeat count, who administers, and how consent will reach your families. Fifteen minutes.
  2. Agreement and invoiceAnnual term, net-30. A purchase order field if your finance office needs one.
  3. Consent captureThe consent flow is ours to provide, and it is built so that no student account can exist until their parent has consented — there is no way to skip it and we would not build one. It is not yet wired into enrollment, which is why enrollment is paused rather than open. No seat will be sold before it is.
  4. Seats assignedYour educator console opens. Assign, reclaim and reassign from there onward without contacting us.

Step three is the one that takes real time, and it is the reason we quote rather than sell on a card. A class of thirty means thirty consents. We would rather tell you that up front than have you discover it in week one.

Running both, for one institution

Districts and workforce programs often want Compass for students and FHG University for staff or adult learners. One agreement covers both.

Your seat count is the total across both platforms. 200 Compass seats and 60 University seats is 260 seats, and it prices at the 250+ band — not as two separate blocks each priced at its own smaller tier. One contract, one invoice, one renewal date.

The two consoles stay separate. A University seat administrator and a Compass educator are not the same role and do not see the same data — that separation is deliberate and we will not merge it on request.
